I'd laugh if I didn't feel like crying.
The most shocking thing is the amount of money being spent to lobby against spending cuts.
As Glenn mentioned, we are all willing to tighten our belts, but we need proof that our leadership is doing the same.

Excuse the pessimism, but until I see a "cut" in spending actually be a cut and not a reduced increase, I'll continue to see both parties as nothing more than politicians more beholden to special interest groups than the greater citizenry. Good appearance though.
